The joint stock company KASICO was established on 3 June, 1991 as a specialized printing house of bills and notes and a special-purpose printing house for the needs of the then founding shareholder – Slovenská sporitežňa, Inc.
The initials of the names of the founding shareholders also determined the name of the company: KA – KAMEX, S – Sporitežňa, and ICO – ISTROCONTI.
In May, 1993, the joint stock company KASICO was authorized by the Slovak Ministry of Finance to also print securities.
At the present, the joint stock company KASICO is a dynamically developing private company. The equipment of the printing office allows to produce not only securities but also other polygraphic products comprehensively, through all the production stages: from the graphical design to reproduction, to electronic page assembly, to printing up to bookbinding, quality control and dispatching. The joint stock company meets all the conditions and international criteria of printing bills and notes as well as the conditions laid down in the State Secret Protection Act.
Today, the joint stock company KASICO is the best protected printing office in the territory of Slovakia. |
